State Wolfpack 46-23 in the Micron PC Bowl played before 44,347 fans at Pro Player Stadium ! The Miami defense, led by UMSHoF member Dan Morgan's 12 tackles and one fumble recovery, forced turnovers, including 5 interceptions. Scott Covington was named MVP, finishing with 17 of 24 passing for 320 yards and 2 touchdowns. James Jackson added 2 touchdowns in 11 carries for 99 yards and 2 catches for 38 yards. UMSHoF member Bubba Franks caught 4 passes for 72 yards.
